WHAT WE DID
As BALENCIAGA's strategic partner in the Chinese market,SKYnoa has been supporting the strengthen of the brand's presence and market expansion in China as project management consultant. From the beginning of providing site surveys of potential new sites, aligning the brand’s design intent in terms of local requirements, crosschecking with their nominated contractors developing shop drawings and details according to the design. Up to completing the project and construction management with efficiency and attention to detail, meeting quality standards and on-time opening.
BREAKING BOUNDARIES
Unlike the conventional global perception of “luxury” store design, Balenciaga embraces a bold industrial aesthetic.
The concrete floors appear mottled, exposing construction grids beneath.
Display racks, left unfinished and weathered, lack any coating, while the walls bear intentional wear, tear, stains, and chipped textures.
Overhead, exposed cables, ducts, and ventilation systems run across the ceiling, partially concealed by industrial-style grid structures and lighting systems.
This raw, deconstructed approach redefines “modern luxury” for Balenciaga, challenging traditional notions of refinement and exclusivity.
SKYnoa's project management team has continued to communicate closely with the property owners and brand stakeholders from the very beginning of the project.
In consideration of the brand's operational efficiency and sales strategy, the construction schedule and feasibility plan were laid out in advance to roll out the two-story store construction in batches.
SITE SURVEY
Review current location, check site conditions, fire regulation, façade and other relevant information
Conduct site measurements of project site and produce accurate “As Built” plans
to ensure design and planning is in compliance with the site-specific measurements
Liaison with the local Landlord for relevant guidelines and requirements for the fitting out works
Onsite site survey/measurements
