As BALENCIAGA’s strategic partner in the Chinese market, SKYnoa provides comprehensive project management consultancy to support the brand’s market expansion and reinforce its presence in China. Our scope of services spans the entire project lifecycle: from conducting site surveys and evaluating potential locations, to aligning the brand’s global design intent with local regulatory and technical requirements. SKYnoa coordinates closely with nominated contractors, oversees the development of shop drawings and technical details, and manages construction execution. With a focus on efficiency, precision, and quality, SKYnoa ensures projects are delivered to the highest standards and completed on schedule.
BREAKING BOUNDARIES
Unlike the conventional global perception of “luxury” store design, Balenciaga embraces a bold industrial aesthetic.
The concrete walls and ceiling appear mottled, exposing construction grids beneath.
Display racks, left unfinished and weathered, lack any coating, while the walls bear intentional wear, tear, stains, and chipped textures.
Overhead, exposed tubes, ducts, and ventilation systems run across the ceiling, partially concealed by industrial-style grid structures and lighting systems.
This raw, deconstructed approach redefines “modern luxury” for Balenciaga, challenging traditional notions of refinement and exclusivity.
SKYnoa’s project management team has maintained close communication with both property owners and brand stakeholders from the project’s inception.
To support the brand’s operational efficiency and sales strategy, the construction schedule and feasibility plan were carefully developed in advance, enabling the two-story store to be delivered in phased batches.
SKYnoa believes that a high standard, high demand customized management strategy is one of the essential elements for the opening of a store, and it is also an important part of the brand’s commercial success.
