RETAIL & POP-UP
In SKYnoa’s long term partnership with Zara, SKYnoa was hired for concept creation and design for the ZARA x Fanglu Lin collaboration. Fanglu Lin, a well known tie dye artist, worked with Zara to create a series of clothing that celebrates Chinese traditional aesthetics. SKYnoa created an interactive experience in Beijing, and three temporal immersive experience in Shanghai, Nanjing and Chengdu.
ZARA x FANGLU LIN BEIJING DONGJINGYUAN Temple
The vermilion mountain gate opens slowly. Above it, the stone plaque "Imperially Built Zhizhu Temple" stands alongside textile artist Lin Fanglu's tie-dye works, creating a unique coexistence. Founded in early 15th century as a royal printing house, the site has borne many identities—temple to hosted lamas, later transformed into a state-owned television factory, and was restored in 2008, winning the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Awards for Cultural Heritage Conservation.
SKYnoa chose this heritage site as the location for ZARA’s limited-time art space, connecting history, the city, and customers to expand retail boundaries.
ESSENCE OF EXISTENCE
ZARA x FANGLU LIN CHENGDU TAIKOO LI
Hanging from the beams is a large fabric piece inspired by Lin Fanglu's work, blending handcraft with the building. The space becomes a walk-in art installation – an extension of the collection and a visual centerpiece.
ZARA x FANGLU LIN SHANGHAI TIMES SQUARE
Where the earth breathes in shades of blue, tie-dyed skies ripple across organic forms. Transparency dances with light, softened by carpets woven from the hush of nature.
Iron bends like time, melting into furniture shaped by instinct, fluid, imperfect, alive.
Blue whispers through every surface, a tribute to hands that craft, to movement born of soul, to fabric so sheer it barely holds a name.
And in the air - the quiet echo of Lin Fang Lu, an artwork unfolding in stillness and motion.
ZARA x FANGLU LIN NANJING FANMAO
Blue semi-transparent linen fabric subtly divides the space. It reinterprets the old wooden structure while keeping the design unified. Combined with custom sisal carpets, it creates a soft, rhythmic layout with blurred edges.
